about

Here I want to say a few words about this atypical demo.

Even while writing I Solnedgangs Embrace, I had thoughts of recording the maximum evil, raw and antihuman. At the same time, I happened to meet Kvltmor who needed help with writing the riffs. In turned into that on XIII Ritual (the first demo) - I wrote everything except the ambient (which I supplemented with my arrangements) and the vocals (which gave the appropriate sound, put in strictly defined parts of the track and supplemented with my own screams). To summarize a little, I was in charge of the music, and the rest of the participants were in charge of the text, design and Instagram. (yes man, fuckin Instagram)

In terms of vocals, I also note that, along with the proper emotional delivery, the vocalist had a pretty shitty sense of composition. Some parts were sung by clean voice where the scream was definitely needed, and there was an abundance of screams over the guitar solo, but "text riffs" were missed (although at the end I already made notes where to sing and where not, but even they were fucked up).

This is what explains in some places a very radical processing of the voice, the protractedness of some guitar riffs (the need to make one more repeat to show it without vocals) and vice versa - the addition of my vocals to the un-sung places.

Further, I can say that after the satisfaction that this work brought, it almost ended in suicide for me. Omitting the details, it was decided to discontinue participation. At first, so as not to die, and secondly, if I do almost all the work, then why should I not continue doing it within the Frostlagte Måne?

Of course, the “colleagues” were upset and, to my surprise, even offered to «make the sound softer» and change the subject (!) if only I don't leave. This was a fuckin surprise for me, because how can such a fierce spit of Darkness be mutilated with a «making the sound softer»? And my wish was to live, but not write the compromise crap.

It was also funny to see a comment on one of the labels that I did not record the bass (the most important instrument was taken away) and that the reason for leaving was "ideological differences" (everyone knew my ideas and everyone gave a fuck).

What caused the change of opinion - no idea, perhaps the desire to get a shred from a dead sheep - if not material, then at least a hype for ideological purebredness. Personally, I have always been sympathetic to the guys ... up to this point.

This "album" is not an attempt to steal my tracks from Kvltmor (all rights reserved to band and all other shit), but only to shed the light of your attention on it.

And also to dot the "i" and make it clear who actually directed this "theater of suffering" (this demo) - since I am gratefully either not mentioned anywhere, or marked as "invited participant expelled in disgrace." And this is bullshit. And the confirmation is that after my "exile" the project, having received a bunch of praise, did not record anyone BM track (which was even noted in some reviews)

But listen this material at your own risk - while Frostlagte Måne touches on dark but rather neutral themes, rarely sliding into madness, then Kvltmor is the beloved embrace of death. It is a basement covered with blood and candle wax, which is deafeningly slammed by an iron door. It is a night march of the Legion, which joyfully goes to rape, torture and kill.

about

Frostlagte Måne Nordland, Norway

Frostlagte Måne does not create anything, it only gives you the Keys to the Gates, behind which a legion of nightmares dwell under the endless leaden sky.
But it depends only on you if you have enough wisdom and modesty to open them.
